Basic Sea Survival / Personal Survival Techniques
This comprehensive 1 day course for both pleasure and commercial
sailors could save your life. It will give you the necessary practical
and theoretical knowledge to react effectively to an emergency abandonment
with or without a liferaft and includes an invaluable practical
session in a swimming pool. No previous experience is necessary
or required
All participants receive the excellent RYA Sea Survival practical
course notes book together with their certificate
This course is valid if you are using craft of up to 3000GT, and
satisfies the requirements for commercially endorsing a certificate
of competence

| Course content: |
Preparation for survival, life jackets, medical issues, search and rescue techniques. It includes a practical session in a swimming poole to experience entering an inflated liferaft whilst fully kitted out. |

A good knowledge of survival techniques, the safety equipment carried on small boats and experience of practical drills in a liferaft. |
