Offshore Safety

This course satisfies the training required by ISAF Offshore Special Regulation 6.01 for category 0, 1 and some category 2 offshore races. It includes RYA sea survival, heavy weather seamanship, weather forecasting and first aid techniques. 

This course includes live firing of marine pyrotechnics (subject to suitable venue), one of the very few chances you get to experience this other than in an emergency situation

Duration: Minimum 2 days
Pre-Course experience : None
Assumed Knowledge: None
Course content: Includes the one-day RYA Sea Survival course, followed by a day covering heavy weather seamanship, weather forecasting, first aid, fire fighting and man overboard recovery.
Ability after course A good knowledge of the safety equipment carried on small boats, the seamanship techniques needed to survive at sea in heavy weather and you will have completed the training required by ISAF Offshore Special Regulation 6.01
