We aim to provide a full range of training
courses for powerboat and personal watercraft users, to enable you
to enjoy your boating with confidence and in safety. Please use
the links to the right for details about all of our courses, afloat
and ashore.
If you plan to take your boat abroad, or hire abroad, you will
need the International Certificate of Competence. We can examine
for and award this.
Since the beginning of 2005, Advanced Powerboat certificate holders
who want to commercially endorse their certificates have to pass
an exam. We are authorised by the RYA to conduct those exams.

If you are an experienced powerboater
and wish to go straight to assessment for your National Powerboat
Certificate/International Certificate of Competence, we can
do that for you.
Professional users who need the Advanced Powerboat Certificate
can also qualify by direct assessment. Call us to discuss
your own requirements. |
Train in one of the school's RIBs, or in your own boat. If you
just want to get more out of your boating, without necessarily going
for a formal qualification - have a look at our section on "non-certificated
training".
Please note that SeaSkills does not normally train young people
under the age of 16 unless they are joining a programme with a parent.
