| SeaSkills exists to provide high-quality training
to all users of powerboats and personal watercraft, whether professional
or leisure users.
We believe that quality training starts with
quality instructors. Please visit our SeaSkills
Tutors page for details our all our trainers.
We operate boat-handling courses from bases
in Scotland - on the East coast at North Berwick and Dunbar, and
on the West coast at Oban and Ardfern. Motor-Cruising courses are
based at Largs Yacht Haven on the Clyde. We also run Inland Waterways courses from our base at Auchinstarry near Glasgow.
If you have your own boat, we can run a course
for you onboard wherever it suits you, in the UK or abroad.
Shore-based courses are arranged through SeaSkills
Mobile Training, and run at any convenient local venue. For details
of all our training programmes please visit our SeaSkills
Training Courses
section.
When we’re not running training courses, our
boats are available for charter, for details visit our charter
pages.
The SeaSkills philosophy is to put the needs of the
customer first. Contact us to discuss your training needs –
we’ll be happy to talk to you. We run intensive powerboat-handling
courses for RYA certificates over two days – often over a
weekend, or on a modular basis over extended periods. Motor-Cruising
courses are usually four or five days. Mobile courses and bespoke
training, own-boat familiarisation, and personal coaching are all
tailored to suit customer needs and run at times and places to suit
you.
